My development perspective in short
I believe strongly in keeping it simple.
Complexity will always find you, but it should be kept at bay as much as possible. Accessibility, legibility, performance, and good design are paramount to any project on which I work. I've written websites for small businesses, artists, fortune 50-500 companies, not-for-profit organizations, and occasionally even for myself.
Most of the time good code doesn't mean having a fancy custom stack - most of the time it means just knowing how to use the right tools, and making sure it works for everyone who wants to access it. That being said, if you need something special, then I respect that.
